Reposted from Cherokee County 4H Page:
Please come and enjoy a good time on us. This year the Cherokee County 4-H PALS voted to do things a little different. Instead of an ice-cream dinner for the county awards program, they opted for a family play day, dinner and possibly a dance. Please click here for detailed flier.
If you are planning on attending please RSVP to wrarnwine@ag.tamu.edu by 5PM on Friday, October 1st. The meal will be provided free of charge to all those who RSVP by this date. All others will be charged $2.00 per plate. Upon your RSVP you will receive tickets via email to print and bring with you to the dinner.
Meal to be prepared by ALLSTAR B-B-Q in Rusk. I hope to see you all there!

What can you do in ONE DAY?
October 9 is OneDay 4-H. What can you do in your community on One Day with 4-H? The possibilities are endless. In fact, we have two groups forming as we speak.
Bridging for Animals - group of Footbridge 4H members pursuing a day of help at the animal shelter
Bridging the Pages - group of Footbridge 4H members looking to spend the morning reading to and visiting with seniors. Considering turning this into a monthly project and/or working with new senior recreation center in Rusk
One Day 4-H is a day of nation-wide community service by 4-H members. This day of community service is whatever each 4-H member, club, or county program wants it to be. It could be as simple as picking up trash and mowing the lawn for someone to elaborate as hosting a 5K Walk/Run and raising money for a cause. It is whatever you want it to be.
If you would like to join one of these groups OR create your own service project to do on October 8, please let us know. Registration is online and due by October 1.
