Fashion Project Entry Deadline

The deadline for the County Fashion Project Entry Forms is just around the corner - February 2, 2009 at 5:00p. This is a fun competition/show in that you can make OR comparison shop an outfit. Put it together, learn about fashion, sewing, comparison shopping and fabric/style and have a lot of fun modeling and telling what you learned. Good Job Horse Judging Team

The Cherokee County Horse Judging Team participated in their first competition Saturday in Cleburne. Congrats to Kaylie, Tommy, Emily and Katy for braving the cold weather and having a good time. We're proud of you and excited to be entering a new type of competition!

Meeting Reminder - 6:30 TONIGHT

This is just a reminder that our monthly Footbridge Club meeting is tonight at 6:30 at the county extension office. We have a few things to plan, a couple of ribbons to recognize and some fun things to do. We look forward to seeing all of you there!

Calling ALL interested in Shooting Sports!!

Calling ALL parents that have children interested in participating in Shooting Sports. There will be a meeting to dicuss this project, how it will affect the growth of 4H in our county, and to decide on an adult represenative to take the shooting sports course in February.

FOR YEARS PILGRIMS PRIDE HAS GRACIOUSLY DONATED THE CHICKS FOR THE POULTRY CLASS. HOWEVER, IT HAS COME TO OUR ATTENTION THAT PILGRAMS PRIDE IS NOT ABLE TO DONATE THE POULTRY CHICKS FOR THE 2009 CHEROKEE COUNTY LIVESTOCK SHOW. DUE TO THIS, THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL FEE OF $10.00 PER ENTRY WHICH IS DUE PRIOR TO FEBRUARY 1, 2009. IF THIS FEE IS NOT RECEIVED BEFORE THIS DATE, THE CHICKS WILL NOT BE ORDERED FOR THAT EXHIBITOR.

January 10 - County Food/Nutrition Show

The County Food/Nutrition show will be this Saturday, January 10 at 10:00 a.m. at the County Extension Office. Good luck to those club members that are participating!

Food Show Entry Deadline

Christmas Party Time!

Our regularly scheduled meeting for December will be our Christmas Party!!

Thursday, December 18, 6:30p at the Rempfer's house

We will have a short business meeting followed by our group picture (PLEASE wear or bring your Footbridge Shirt if you have one!), party and gift exchange. Bring a gift for the White Elephant Gift Exchange and a party food!

Directions:

From Courthouse take Hwy 84 W for two blocks to Barron Street. Turn Left on Barron Street. Continue on Barron Street as it turns right and becomes 23. Cross Loop 343 and turn on CR 2206 (first Road to the right). Continue on CR 2206 for 2.8 miles. House is on Brick house on right with Circular Drive really close to the road

Validation Saturday Dec. 6

Don't forget Validation is Saturday, December 6th at the Showbarn from 8 am to 10 am. You MUST bring ALL marketable class animals and animals that were signed up to sell to be validated. This includes the following:

BEEF - Market Steers, Commercial Heifers
PEN OF HEIFERS
SWINE - Market Gilts, Market Barrows
GOATS - Market
DAIRY CATTLE - ALL Heifer Classes

Your animals must be validated to be eligible to show.
